The respective changes to the Law on Mortgage and other legislative acts have entered into force on July 01, 2018. From this date the mortgage certificate can be in both the paper and the electronic form.

For preparation of the electronic mortgage certificate it will be necessary inter alia to fill in the special blank form on the integrated portal for state and municipal services or on the internet site of the registration body. Such blank form shall be signed by the encrypted digital signatures of both the mortgager and the mortgagee (if the mortgager is a third person it shall be signed by the debtor under the ensured obligation) and filed to the registration body alongside with the application on receiving the electronic mortgage certificate.
